Poetry Of Rocks (2026)
Original song over appropriated, re-edited footage by Ibrahem Hasan and Saul Williams
3 minutes 49 seconds
Posting the video and song to instagram first, Shirt explained the new song was over visuals by Ibrahem Hasan and Saul Williams, and included a text from Saul:
There is a momentum building that is not only of hardship & state-sanctioned violence. We will not escape the paradigm but we will defeat it. Principled determination to work and dream beyond racial capitalist hierarchies and neo-colonial templates, to overthrow these value systems within the world and within ourselves, begins by seeking to confront rather than escape. Not accepting capitalism as just “the way of the world” and recognizing that the apathy, despair, privileged obliviousness and distraction are all parts of the same system we aim to destroy are necessary steps towards liberation.
— Saul Williams
Shirt also noted that, per the producer's request, the close collaborator preferred not to be named or credited on 'Poetry of Rocks,' given the current complexities surrounding immigration policy.
The song and video are also now available to watch on YouTube.
